I use a variation of a square stitch, the Celestial Fringe Bag with Strap pattern is done in this style. The stitch I use is quicker and softer than Peyote or Brick stitch. The difference is that with Peyote and Brick stitch the beads are added one at a time and stacked like bricks, as the stitch implies. With my square stitch the beads are added four at a time and are stacked like loom work, one directly on top of the other. The square stitch I use is different and is also called an off loom stitch.

The beads go up and down, on this bag!

The Celestial Cell Phone Bag was my first attempt at this type of beading. I have strung beads and made jewelry but I always wanted to make one of these bags. I completed the bag in about two weeks. I found the instructions nicely printed, very detailed, and easy to follow. I also received my nicely packaged product sooner than I expected from Beaded Patterns.com. There is a special feeling of achievement that I have when I look at the beautiful Celestial Cell Phone bag I made. I love showing it off to my family and friends too! Everybody wants one, of course! I am now starting on a pair of beaded earrings. I am more than "hooked" and happy I found this great web site with everything you need and more.
